We then market the electricity, biogas (direct use and biomethane), RECs, carbon credits and other products produced by both Camco’s assets and provide marketing services for assets owned by other developers. Carbon ServicesIn North America, Camco is one of the leading developers of carbon offset projects registered with the Climate Action Reserve. Camco contributes to the development of standards and offset policy, particularly emerging regulations around California’s cap-and-trade program. Flexible in our approach, we can help you to maximize emissions reductions from low-carbon assets and market those reductions to a growing market – in the voluntary and pre-compliance sectors, in North America and internationally. As a carbon specialist focused solely on the monitoring and aggregation of reductions and operating project equipment, we are able to work at-risk, minimizing up-front costs. At the Mt. Herman landfill in North Carolina, Camco uses revenues generated by emissions reductions to run and operate the gas collection system. We can also provide up-front funding and development costs in return for future carbon offset streams from a project.
