Salym Petroleum Development N.V.

Salym Petroleum Development N.V. is a joint venture on a parity basis with Shell Salym Development N.V. and JSC NK Evikhon (a part of Sibir Energy).
The project envisages construction of a gas turbine electric power plant of rated capacity 45 MW fuelled by associated petroleum gas (APG). The plant will produce electricity to supply the production sites of Salym oil fields in West Siberia and will replace electricity from the grid. APG recovery for the gas turbine electric power plant will be undertaken after the first stage of oil and gas separation when the APG contains more methane and less water steam. Thus, it enables efficient APG combustion at the lowest preparation cost.
